My motor E75TRLCTE is idleing high. it is between 1300 and 1500 at idle. How do I adjust this? The thumbwheel on the throttle cable is all the way in with no further adjustment. It also seems the "high Idle" lever on the control box may be stuck.

there is an idle srop screw on the linkage on the motor, remove cowling, have someone move the throttle ans watch the linkage move and find the screw that stops in when returned to slow.

Using the thumbwheel on the throttle cable to adjust idle speed is your first mistake. That adjustment is for cable length. You first need to put that back where it belongs. Put throttle control in neutral. Disconnect the throttle cable at the engine. Do the link & sync procedure in accordance with the manual. Then bring the end of the cable up to its attachment point. If the cable end is not in perfect alignment then adjust the thumbwheel until the cable can be attached without moving/pushing/or pulling anything. Now do the idle mixture and idle speed adjustments. If you don't have a manual, buy one or visit your library and check one out. They may not have the exact one for your engine but they will at least have one that's close.
