This is probably an incredibly stupid question but is it possible to add some sort of EFI system to my johnson 9.9? I just thought it would be nice to save a little bit of money on gas, but if its not possible or very expensive then it might not be worth it. Thanks for the help in advance

I don't think it would be worth you while even if it's possible. Unless you manufacture a conversion kit for the masses and sell them dirt cheap and flawless. Get a four stroke if your wanting to save gas IMO.

You would need a throttle body with pressure , temperature and flow sensors.----You would need a separate oiling system with hoses , tank and a pump.------You would need RPM sensors.----ECU that would require a generator to run it.----Fuel pressure pump.----Injectors.---Water temperature sensors.----Plus the knowhow to program the ECU.

And after all that work and expense to improve gas mileage, the payback will take about 6 lifetimes. Keep the carb.
