I took pics every step along the way on original disassembly, and I know the boat ran last time it was used. So pretty safe assumption that the pump was in its functioning build.
I used Leeroy's ramblings photos when I did the tear down and assembly with new parts.. Everything looks like it did in the original pics. Just to check, I tore it down and put it back together again. Same deal, takes a bit of pressure to blow through.
I can't just blow though it, I have to give it quite a bit of pressure like when you're first blowing up a balloon. And it makes a noise kind of like a seal (the animal). Is that the normal pressure it needs? I guess the valve housing could be bad, but the springs (with caps) move easily and I blew them out with compressed air. Rather not spend $25 if I don't have to on a new pump if this one works, especially after buying the repair kit.
Had to order a new crankshaft seal, fuel hoses, and more so engine is apart and can't test the pump on the motor till later. So trying to determine if I have the right level of blow...
