After 5, trips out on the cheasepeake, I decided it was a keeper. The floor was spongy - so one thing led to another, and I'm proud to proclaim
that I'm planning a full restoration/customization. A very solid boat, but they didn't encapsulate the wood back then. This poor thing sat for 14,
years uncovered with the bow down - a crime of great magnitude! I am going to use marine plywood, and Mas no blush epoxi along with various fillers, and mats. When the weather breaks, I plan to get back on it - very
exciting.

I just bought an 82, same boat. I/O 350 mercruiser, getting it back together now. no rot though, it was loved its whole life, scratches on the hull, but should be in the water in a week or 2... keep the progress coming, its like an encyclopedia for me.. seems to be a great boat, my fingers are crossed! Good Luck!

I also have one of these outboard versions. Purchased a couple years ago in need of re-power but fortunately not so neglected. Trying to decide whether to go forward or sell. You're an inspiration and helps to put my project in perspective. Should be rather easy in comparison.
