I have a 15 hp 1984 Chrysler/Force motor and I was having problems with it staying running so I rebuilt the fuel pump and replace the hose from the carb to the pump with clear hose and I still have the same problem. But what I'm seeing now is when I prime the ball the line fills up with gas and then the motor will run for a minute or two then the gas slowly empties the line but it starts from the carb side and it empties backwards like there is maybe an air leak in the carb? I am not sure?? Need help!!!

Welcome aboard.

The hose emptying as you describe is normal when the fuel pump isn't pumping. No air leak in the carb

Take the clear hose off the carb end and put it in a container. Then pull or crank the motor and if the pump is working, the gas should come out of the hose in spurts.

I replaced the fuel pump diaphragm and gaskets still the same thing. Is it possible the fuel port block is plugged? I don't see what else to change on the pump. The two metal tabs that are on each side of the fuel pump plate seem good and are both flat keeping the holes closed

I doubt any fuel port is plugged since you can get fuel to carb when using the bulb. Try the hose in the container just to make sure.

Model# Serial#??
There are a few different systems on that year??

The base model has inline connectors.
They dry out and can suck air?

Get a tank with no connectors just a squeezie and a hose and hook it direct to the fuel pump.
try running then.

I hooked my line and tank up to a buddy's motor and his motor ran great so I know it's not the lines or connections
