Anybody own this model? Any info or opinions about it would be great! Maybe even a picture if someone has one. I can't find any info or pics on the net for this boat.

OK, how about any general facts about Chris Craft boats from the mid 80's?

Phil, I have a CC scorpion 210 made in 1980 that seems to be a fairly good boat. they used a plywood stringer system with several cross members also. which like most others, is likely to have some rot in it if it was left to the elements. that being said, I find it to be a good riding boat (deep v) a little heavy(3400 lbs) but powered with a v8, it runs quite well.. all in all, I like mine......

Re: 1984 Chris Craft Scorpion 212

Thanks for the feedback flashback. The reason why I asked is my father's best buddy was selling this boat and my Dad bought it cuz he knew I was looking for a bigger boat and he got a good deal. We're going to pick it up next week sometime so I haven't seen the boat yet. The plywood stringer system you mentioned has me worried a little though. The transom was just repaired due to some rot. How can I check for rot in the stringers? The floor is the finished fiberglass type. Also, this boat has an outboard. Hope it's not underpowered. Other than that, I guess the boat is nice. It's been stored in this guys garage when not in use since the day he bought it new. Anything else I should look for? Thanks for the help.
