1984 Evinrude 6 hp Yachtwin correct impeller direction

Last weekend I put in a new impeller. I am pretty sure I got it back in the same direction as the one that came off but I have started second guessing myself the more I think about it. Can anyone confirm the correct direction of the impeller for me by any chance ? I think right now the curve of the impeller blades are curved in the counter clockwise direction.

you will be ok as soon as you pull the engine over it will correct it's self

Yep thats right , if I understand you correctly. The impeller turns clockwise, the same way as the engine, and the vanes trail ie point counterclockwise.

but as slate 1234 points out it corrects itself as soon as you pull the engine over if you fit it "wrongly".
