can anyone confirm if this bracket is designed to support the weight of this motor?

new to the forums, but reading here it sounds like this engine should have a lift point under the hood?

:confused::confused:

I am hesitant to hook to it and lift, seeing that it appears to bolt to a cover, which is then itself bolted to the engine block. I would be really unhappy if I had to buy a new endgine block because I tried to lift my motor by some accessory cover or cable guide bracket.

Any advice would be appreciated, more views of the bracket and surrounding area, below:

You can also lift it with a 3-bolt puller installed over the main flywheel nut. That's what the 3 tapped holes are for in the flywheel. Either will work.

Thanks for the replies! My next post should be a pic of this motor on an engine stand (and hopefully not a broken motor lying on the ground!)

:)
