I have a 1984 Mariner 150 hp. The motor will not go past 15 mph at 2000
rpm at WOT. Sometime it will and sometime it will not. I thought it was a
spunged hub, so I bought a new prop and hub kit but the same problem still arise. On a lucky ride you could reach 3500 rpm to 4000 rpm going 40-50 mph but once you turn it off you'll never know if it'll go fast or not again. What do you guys think it is? When I'm at WOT the motor boggs just a bit every 3 second or so, maybe that could help explain the problem. Also it seem to go a bit faster when someone is priming the gas bulb as the motor is running. Any suggestions will be great. Thanks in advance.
