I have a 1984 75hp mercury 4cyl serial#655894 I want to check the timing and synchronizing, bought it used and isn't running right.
Primary Pickup Synchronizing Timing-One of the steps states "adjust the primary pickup screw until the timing pointer is aligned with the specified throttle pickup on the timing decal as determined from the specs in the appendix.
In the manual I see that some have timing values but this one just states "---" does this mean there is no value?? I see that it has a max timing of 23 deg BTDC
First mercury I've owned and the other motors I had didn't require anything like this. Just looking for a little insite. I have a Seloc mercury repair manual that I am using, just stuck on that point.
