What would be a good direct fit motor to replace the 3.0 with. The 3.0 140 hp just isn't enough for this 19' boat I would like to put a bigger motor in it but I'm not sure what would fit good.

a 19' can typically goto a 305ci engine, you'd need a different gear ratio in the outdrive, a place for the motor mounts to bolt, and a complete engine with Y pipe instead of the single exhaust pipe on the port side. a 190hp 4cyl 3.7L puts out some good torque again, you'd need different gear ratio drive.

You can pull the engine and outdrive, close up the hole, have some more deck space, put on a Outboard Bracket and drop on a nice 200hp Outboard. ( more money that way than an I/O replacement though.

Or.. buy a different boat, there's plenty out there. You can sell yours to someone looking to upgrade from a smaller boat, or a family looking for their first boat.

good luck.
