As shown, I have a 1984 Starcraft Mariner 180. NADA Shows the weight as 1600 but I have brochures and such that show dry weight at 700. My question is since it's listed as "hull dry weight" does that mean JUST the hull without the Center Console, seats, and such? Hardmount stuff, not accessories like trolling motors, motor, etc. Any help appreciated as I'm up against towing restrictions with my vehicle and want to make sure I don't void any warranties towing. Thanks!!

As a side note happy to have anyone who actually owns one of these to chime in with experience, I did read/research the other posts on here regarding the Mariner series so am versed in those already.

Turn key boat that needs updating to upholstery and various items but has a new floor, carpet, and a older 1973 Johnson 65hp 2 cycle motor. I'm hoping it's going to be enough that I'm not wishing for a bigger motor.

Will post pictures soon as I figure out how. :)

Dry weight implies just the boat with everything that came in it from the factory. No batteries, trolling motors or outboard.

65 hp should be just fine for that, you can always play around with props if you can find em.

I could be mistaken but I think you have to have like 5 or 10 posts before you can post a picture.

StarCraft is an excellent boat, very well built.

Don't see any dings or anything in the hull so the hull itself is pretty bullet proof, aluminum last forever.

I have a 1980 Sea Nymph that is still kicking and I have banged the crap out of the hull river fishing, aluminum is awesome stuff.

Parts are readily available for the engine still but that is getting up there at 45 years old but they were built really well back than.

The colors are decidedly 80's but that is easy to change, overall looks like a nice solid boat.

1600 lbs seems pretty high for the weight, possibly with the trailer and engine fully loaded, I would go with the 700 plus engine and whatever else has been added

Center console wasn't all that popular back in the day. Now, they're one of the hottest boats on the market - and worth a premium as there are few older ones around.

Point being, you did well finding one! Congratulations.

Come on over to the Starcraft section and see all the great rebuilds of the Starmada.

Nice MR180 you have there!
