I posted on here befor about an issue where my engine would bog down at high RPM's. I took everyones advice and replaced the pump and it seemed to have fixed the problem. I took it out after i installed the new pump and it ran great despite some starting issues when it was cold but i figured the timing was off because of some screws i messed with that could be linked to that. But other than that i was happy it was fixed untill the return trip. On the way back i had it at full throttle and it maxed out at maybe 10 - 15 mph and didnt want to run right. I thought it was because i was low on gas but the next weekend i put gas in it and hooked it up to the hose and it fired right up and ran great. Soi took it on the river and it fired up good but a few minutes later as i was headed away from the ramp at idle speed it started to run rough. Then after a few seconds it cleared up. Then did it again and cleared up the second time. I figured maybe i had an air bubble in the line so i pressed on. When i got to the point i could go full speed i slowly throttled up and it ran good but didnt go as fast as it use to. It maxed out between 25 and 32 MPH. I had it up to 45 before. So i headed back to the ramp and as i pulled in and was about to shut the engine off it dies and made a poof sound. After that i had real trouble starting it back up untill i got it out of the water. Thats what is making me so mad. It runs great out of the water but as soon as it goes in thats when it starts acting up. If anyone can please help id apriciate it. Im at my breaking point on this thing after all ive done to it. And just so you are filled it i was told befor i replaced the VRO it was the carbs so i had them cleaned and rebuilt, i replaced the fuel lines with regular fuel line from Advanced Auto Parts and some other small things. Please help me!!

It sounds like you may still be having carb problems./ fuel delivery. Also I've seen power packs work intermititly doing just what your saying.

When the engine is not running well, check to make sure you have spark on all 6 cyls. A cyl drop test is one way to check. Also, an inductive timing light will show the quality of spark on each plugwire. Weak ignition components tend to fail once the engine heats up to normal operating temps. Engine may run fine when cold, then crap out when fully warmed up.
