1985 5.0l 200 bogging upon full acceleration

1985 5.0l(305 c.i) 200/898 2bbl. <br /><br />Upon full or hard acceleration, it wants to die or severely bogs down. It has new plugs,wires, cap/rotor and timing was checked this spring. The carb top plate was removed and the fuel bowl cleaned. The plunger appears to be in good working order(plunging).<br /><br />ANy other ideas????????

The carb probably needs rebuilt. Not just taken apart and new gaskets put in, but dipped in carb cleaner to clean all the passages that may be clogged.

Thanks again, Don. Sounds like a Fall project. I will head to the dealer to inquire about parts.
