Have search the posts and read the fine advice already posted but I still have a few questions. I am having ignition problems. When I first started working on this motor, I had three plugs not fireing, 2, 3, and 5. I swapped the switch boxes. No fire on 2. Swapped the coils and I got fire on all but number two. I checked all the plugs for fire and I think I killed number 6. This was before I read the post on damaging switch boxes by unplugging plug wires. Now for the questions. Any possible help as far as diagnosis? My current book has no troubleshooting info, so, whats the best book to get? And, What is the proper way to check for spark?

Thanks,

Landlocked

The proper way to check the ignition is to use a DVA meter.

But..if you have no spark on 1 cyl, this is caused by a bad powerpack or ign coil.

TMD
