Hello
Iam thing of buying a boat with a 1985 90hp.on it. The seller says last year the dog clutch that makes it shift went out. While the engine starts and runs, it will not shift into gear, Thus you will have to either fix the clutch or put a new lower unit on the engine.
My question is how much work is this, & the approx. amount of money for the parts??
I know about working on cars & such, but not about this. I realize there is alot of differnce.
Where can I get a manual??

any yam dealer can get ya the manual, be aware that if its the dog and not the shift cam usually it will take a pinion and fwd gear set, if it does not shift at all check the shift shaft, they were prone to rusting away.
