1985 Alpha One Bellhousing Replacement

Need to replace bellhousing, and bellows, how difficult is it to replace all. Any tips to make the job easier or are there any special tools necessary?

Tip # 1 get a service manual and follow it.<br /><br />That's a big messy job, but if you do it right, you can save some cash, and learn something about your boat!<br /><br />This should be in "Mercruiser repairs"

what is so big and messy about it? I've already got the outdrive off, i just need to remove bell housing itself. To do this i have to remove the exhaust and u-joint ellows. I just need to know if i need any special tools
