where is hydraulic pump for trim of motor on a 305 volvo penta? need to add fluid because keeps pushing prop down when I try to trim. would this make my boat only run 3200 rpm's or is it my prop?
The pump and container should be near the transom on either side of where the outdrive goes through the transom. It does not sound like it's low on fluid though, you may have a leaky cylinder or a bad valve. It is a closed sytem, so if it's low on fluid you must have a leak somewhere.
