1985 bayliner with 50hp force motor

hello,i have a bayliner with 50hp outboard.2cyl.there is a small hose that come from the control panel where the RPM meter is, and that hose runs to the outside in the back of the boat in the lower part,the hose hook to a hard plastic arm .that arm touch the weater when boat is i the water.there is no electric wire connected just the hose..i need to find the name for that arm,becuse when i was fixing the trailer the tip that connect the arm to the hose broke...thanks for helping

Pronounced "peetow" by the way... I've been around this stuff most of my life. I just found that out a couple weeks ago. How embarrassing.

Hi SILROND ... I too have a 1985 Bayliner with a 50hp motor.. You can find out alot about the motor if you call Mercury in Wisc. Give them your serial numbers and they track it by computer and tell you the true date.. My motor is actually an 1986.. I thought for a year it was an 1985.. The boat is an 1985, but your motor could be newer or older.. Anyway my speedometer doesn't work either.. No biggy.. The biggest problem this season was trying to keep my motor running..
