1985 Chris craft inboard no spark

My engine was running fine and one day it wort fire up. When i turn they key, the starter kick over making the starting noise, but it doesn't seem to be getting a spark...I change ignition coil, put new wires and plugs but nothing. Any suggestions where to go from here?

Ayuh,..... What motor ya got,..?? Which drive,..??

Have ya done any testin', or are ya just throwin' parts at it,..??

Check for 12 v at positive side of coil while cranking
Look at the kill switch
disconnect shift interrupt switch verify that it isn't killing the ignition

So I pulled spark plugs and they look good wires also good. Tested alternator and it seems tonget power. Also ignition coil is new and get power. Starter gets power....where would the kill switch be located?

Ayuh,.... If yer distributor has points in it, you need to change them, 'n the condenser,....

would it be easier if i just change the distributor cap? thats where the points and condenser is correct?

Ayuh,.... The points, 'n condenser are under the cap, but the cap may not need changin',....
