1985 chrysler and 1989 force both 85 hp

hey guys ive got a 1989 force 85 hp and i was needing a few parts like prop, prop spacer and trim parts and i found a 1985 chrysler hp (the whole engine ) for a good price and was wondering if most of the parts will interchange the only difference i see is the water intake on the foot is in a different location its up on the flat part of the foot and mines on the round part will the foot interchange also? thanks in advance!!

Photos please! Unless the lower unit on the Chrysler has been changed to a dual exhaust, that sounds like an earlier engine with a two piece lower unit. If it is a pre-79 Chrysler, it will not swap.

the boat is for sale on craigslist its about 2 hours from where i live i were just trying to save myself a trip so if its a 1980 model or newer it will work? its supposed to be a 1985 model. Do u know if the year is located and same code on sticker as force (if it has one). mine is single exhaust that one should be duel exhaust but it should swap out? Mines been in salt water so spare parts would be good. I know its coming i just dont know when. I know when something breaks on mine it prob will not come apart very easy,if at all.thanks
