Champion QL77JC4 plugs, gapped at either .040 or .030.... whichever may provide better performance for you. The .030 gap provides a longer life span but one gap or the other may provide somewhat improved performance at either idle or full throttle.... it varies from engine to engine.
DO NOT use starter fluid (No lubrication qualities).
Pump fuel primer bulb up until it is hard. Have engine in neutral. Turn throttle handle as far as it will go. Pull choke lever out. Crank engine using manual starter... pull as fast as possible.
Assuming that the engine has compression and proper spark, the engine should fire and start within three or four pulls. Hard starting is usually due to a slightly fouled carburetor.
