On my engine the blue/white and red/white have the yellow indication sleeve on them. They were hooked up to the bottom pack. Wiring diagram shows solid red and blue to go to bottom pack and blue/white, red/white to top. Does it make a difference how they hook up? I assume they do since one set is hi and one is low voltage. Also on my bottom pack they had the coil wires hooked on the trigger terminals and the trigger wires hooked on the coil terminals. I just noticed that last night as the bottom box is inverted. Thinking that is why I'm not getting spark on the pack and wonder how much damage that did to the pack.

It makes no difference if they go to the top or bottom switch box as long as they stay paired properly (striped to one box, solid to the other). As far as the trigger/coil wires going to the wrong terminals, I bet that would damage the scr in the box, but I would hook them up properly and see if it works.

hey phebus1. hooked the wires up the way they were supposed to and man she sounded good. let it warm up went in forward then reverse and all of a sudden it started missing again and no spark on 1 and 3. Also noticed water coming out of number one plug. Head gasket???? It's got good compression though. I may just part it out .
