The engine runs fantastic at high speeds and low and idles and starts up very well.
My only problem is if im cruising around lets say around 5 to 10 mph and hit the throtle it will at times (not always) just bog down to a near idle. If im gradual on the throtle and then pin it theirs no problem.

You have a lean condition either the idle jet settings or the backdrag jets are causing it. I would remove the backdrag jets first and try the engine if that don't help reinstall them and readjust the idle mixture.

The backdrag jets are in the float bowl vents at mid range they cause a vacume in the float bowl dropping the fuel level and leaning the engines mid range helping the blubber but at WOT it has no effect

to disable that vent just put a BB in part #11 (vent tube) on that marine.com picture. You may also need to adjust your idle screws, search for the "Link & sync" that clams made. IF you're sinked correctly you might need to move each idle screw out 1/4 turn.
