the bottom carb has fuel running out of the overflow hole on top of carb (assuming its an overflow hole)when I run the engine, I guess I let the engine sit to long and things got gummed up in their ,taking the carb off to get to the bowl to clean it up inside looks like a big job , could I try to flood it with carb cleaner or something (like acetone ? ) ,,,, thanks

Taking the carbs off are not that big of a deal. Once you get the air baffle and cover off the carbs, there is plenty of room. The other thing you should do is take the 2 fasteners off the oil tank and move it to the side. Then disconnect the fuel line from the pump. Take off the 6 nuts that hold the carbs on and remove them as an assembly. I just did mine the other day in about 15 minutes.

No you can't just flush the carbs, it is not that a bad job, clean all the carbs while you are at it, soak them in carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air ....
