Got boat and 140 rude for free, wants 200 for trailor. Transom already built and floor fitted. Few more stringers to be cut and ready for glass. Hull has been painted, hopefully be able to match paint on top cap. 140 is tore down to block... hope all the parts are there. Any estimates on what top speed would be on this rig? Hoping to make enough off this boat to get a good start on 28 to 30 ft pontoon build. From what i hear boat prices are low right now here in sw Missouri. Might have to keep and play w for a few years. LOL

I wouldn't plan on making any money on it.....you will be amazed at how fast it flies out the door on a restore! You can find a prop calculator to give you an idea of what it will run with the rude. You will need to know the gearing and the WOT (wide open throttle) RPM. The hull efficiency should be pretty good, I would guess around 50, but that will depend on the Rude's gearing.

Have plenty of plywood left over from trihull to finish stringers. Enough mat and resin to prob wrap 1/2 to 3/4 of the stringers. Should have enough carpet.... Biggest expense will be refinishing of the top cap. I know a few paint guys.. see if they will give me pointers, or shoot it for me cheap. Maybe even be able to borrow a booth... only way to know is to ask. I even got a full gasket set w/ the motor. Buy a manual and get to work!
