Changed water pump water coming out top and temp at 80f.....my question is the impeller was extremely tight almost impossible to fit into housing I used 8# torque and when I started the boat there's water coming out of the little holes in the back on top of lower unit from both sides. Is water supposed to come out of there or do I possible have a bad water pump job and leaking from housing gasket or somewhere in there I used all new gaskets including top oring and cleaned the lower unit with a wire brushed remove old gasket? I just don't see how water would circulate around the inside gear shift on lower unit especially salt water or maybe that's normal and being paranoid see pics and the two holes are the back of lower unit? Please advise
