my engine runs / runned fine at low rpms but the autible alarm sounds if i run it over 3/4 for 5 min or so. usually i let it sit for 5 min and it then runs fine, under 3/4 of course. today the limiter stayed on and never let the engine go over a few thousand rpms. it chugged me home for a half hour or so. the engine is shooting out water and not running hot ..... there is oil in it as well

ANY suggestions ????????

Not sure about this model but I assume it has both temp and oil alarms. First locate the thermoswith usually at the back of the motor and pull one of the wires when alarming. If that stops the alarm then it is temperature. If it doesn't disconnect the oil sensor and see if that stops it. If yes then it could be oil. If not it could be a wiring short. From your description temp seems the likely cause.

The most common fault is impellor despite the peewee. If it hasn't been changed recently just change it. Then check thermostat and thermoswith using water tests. It could also be blocked passages, however, once you remove your thermostat you will get some idea of what condition you water system is in.
