1986 125hp Force cooling

I just replaced impeller kit in motor. I installed a telltale at of top of engine. My high alarm doesn't work, so I rigged up indicator light in dash. The problem is no flow after installation of impeller kit. I pulled t-stat and flushed system. I put lower unit in tank, no muffs. Still no flow. But, my indicator light works great. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You need to take down the lower unit again and this time make sure the water tube is properly aligned and that the impeller key is properly installed.. And before putting it back together you can also feed a garden hose to the said water tube (where the impeller housing connects to) and see if water will flow out of the t-stat and also to the snout. If it does, then most likely the problem is with the tube alignment.

If you tried to install the impeller in the water pump and then pushed the pump down, the key will almost certainly have slipped out of the slot in the shaft. Install the key, slide the impeller over it Then push down the pump while turning the drive shaft. The impeller will work right in.
