I'm looking for a little help with a 25 hp (comm) that I just bought. The first time I had it out it ran just fine. Now on the other hand it starts just fine and will idle fine until you start to open it up. I've replaced the gas can, spark plugs, rebuilt the carb, and replaced a few of the fuel lines. It still doesn't run right. After the carb rebuild I performed the required adjustment on the lean adjust. I'm just looking for someone to point me in the right direction.

Thank You,
MMC Jay

You need to be more specific than that, Jay.

What, exactly, is it doing or not doing, and when?

tashasdaddy,
I removed the high speed jet and it has no varnish on it. I also replaced the fuel pump still and that didn't fix the problem. Any more helpful hints? Could it be the primer bulb and line even though I don't see any fuel leaking, or maybe the powerpack?

jay, check the spark on both cylinders, it will run on only one. could be coil not firing. remove one plug wire, while running (insulated pliers, unless you are a real man) note if the engine changes rpms, replace and remove the other.
