Hi All,

Am having trouble removing male fuel connector, have searched manaul and no info is provided for removal and new installation. From what l can see is that the whole engine cover has to be removed for this process to happen. Be great if assistance and guidedence with this Thread.

Many Thanks Damien.:)

Actually if you look down into the lower cowling the connector is held in place with a 7/16" hex head bolt. It's a little tricky to get the socket down in there but it can be done. pull the connector out from inside the cowling and cut the panduit strap that holds the hose on. When you replace hose either use a hose clamp or get the mercury panduit strap as they are different from the ones you can buy anywhere else.

Zorak is right it is tricky but it is possible. Personally unless you feel that the fuel line is completly gone or have a visible leak on the pipe from the male fuel connector to the fuel pump I would leave it alone. If it ain't broke don't fix it!:D

I did the same on my 75 HP Mariner. I left it alone. Too many wires around and it is too tight to work around.I was sure I will be in another problem if I tried to get it out. Good luck
