1986 85 hp. Force needle and seat source

I want to replace my needles and seats. Seems the needle and seat kit is obsolete. One source told me $27 for what I assume to be a full kit.

These carbs don't seem to need anything more than the needle and seats. I have had them off and cleaned up just to have a second leaking needle & seat.

Any aftermarket suppliers or possible NOS parts supply?

Here are part numbers for kits, I don't know why the needle kit is so expensive, just Merc. trying to needle Force owners to death....

needle kit is FK10120-1 $25+/-
carb kit is FK10220 $26+/-

That needle kit is a number for the "obsolete" one unless I can find a supplier with it in stock.

And I got an email back from with the following...

We checked with the warehouse on FK10220 carb repair kit and it does have the needles, but the seats are no longer available.

We no longer have a source for that part.

Try Boats.net. Theyll have needle and seat kit for around $18 if not less (it was less for my 89 85HP).

I wish the above were true. I ordered my carb repair kits from Boats.net but they did not include the needle seats and the needle valve kit was obsolete (for 1987 85 hp). If you have any luck finding a supplier I would like to know myself!
