I am thinking about re-design the decks on my 1986 Bayliner Bass Boat (18') and am looking for additional ideas or suggestions...
Here is my list of things that I am looking to do so far...
Lower the decks to a walk around configuration (all on 1 floor level if possible)
single console
built in rod storage,
built in tackle storage,
built in cooler storage,
live well, bait well,
new gauge cluster including illuminated switch banks for each battery, (starting, & house & add a trolling battery)
vinyl marine flooring instead of carpet
My goal is to lower decks to make it easier to walk from bow to stern as I plan to use it for bass, walley and musky fishing, including trolling and casting. Right now configuration is cramped and hard to get around for 1 person with gear, let alone two... boat seems to have plenty of wasted space below the current casting decks, so why not put it to work?
Here you can see the current deck configuration and the two consoles...
Other ideas or suggestions?
