I am about to replace the lower unit in my Suzuki with a used one. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for the job. Such as tools needed or steps to take. I know I will need a seal kit where the lower unit and the top end connect. Is there anything else I need to order while I am at it. Any advice would be helpful.

No seal kit needed, not really sure what you mean. My manual says to use some silicone sealant on the connection but I don't even see why that is necessary since it's a wet environment in there anyways. Other than that, make sure that it's in neutral, and when you reinstall it, be careful inserting the shift shaft back in the hole so that you don't knock it into gear. It's also good to have a flexible headed light to help you get the clutch shaft back into the shift rod.
