Engine ran fine on Sunday. I tried to flush the engine yesterday. The engine started right up and was running normally. The overheat warning came on after about a minute so I know it was not overheating. I disconnected the temp sensors in the head and the vacuum switch and checked them. They checked OK. Ran out of time so I will continue next weekend. Any tips appreciated.
6/30 Found the problem. Prior to flushing the engines I had added oil to the VRO tanks. They are on a sliding shelf below deck that I have to pull out to fill the tanks. When I pushed it in the fuel line caught on the tank an kinked the line. The alarm was high vacuum at the fuel pump.
