1986 Evinrude 9.9 carb...

Just a quick follow up note to my previous post... I attached a piece of tubing to the fuel supply fitting on the carb and tried to blow air through it, it is blocked. I assume that indicates the bowl is full, the float is up and the needle valves are closed... sound correct?

First of all I wouldn't use any more starting fluid than you have or you'll have a lot more problems.<br /><br />You said it will not run on fuel. Is that by choking it or by squirting fuel in the throat of the carb?<br /><br />I would try squirting some fuel from a squirt can in the throat of the carb and see if it runs.<br /><br />If it does I'd be tearin' down the carb to clean it out.
