1986 Evinrude 9.9 short shaft to long shaft

I ordered from eBay a 5 inch extension and all the parts to convert my 1986 9.9 from a short shaft to long shaft. It seems straight forward on installation but there is no you tube videos. The parts ordered seem to have the long shaft, shifter, water pump and exhaust extension. Anyone out there that can take me through the process? The picture does not show water tube extension which I ordered

1 Drop lower unit.
2 take waterpump assembly off
3 Pull drive shaft out
4 Put new driveshaft in
5 Unscrew shift shaft and take it out.
6 Put new shift shaft in and screw in until tight. Now unscrew only enough to line up with upper shift shaft
7 now would be a good time to install new waterpump assembly
8 Put the exhaust housing extension on to the lower unit and bolt up tight. Install pastic spacer in the exhaust housing.
9 Now install the water tube extension on the upper tube.
10 Put it back together the way it came off.

It looks like the water tube extention is missing so i ordered it with 0 ring. Can you confirm I have all parts? Does the drive shaft need any grease on the ends?

Your first pic has the watertube extension. It is in the black rubber piece.
