1986 evinrude question

What kind of controls do I need for my 1986 evinrude 30hp. The throddle linkage is on the right side of the outboard(looking from inside the boat) and the Forward - reverse lever is on the left. Will any controls work?? Thanks

Most controls you find now are fairly universal. You can set them up to operate most any motor's throttle and shift. Even a Merc control can be set to operate a Johnson and vice-versa. If the wiring is included with the control, then they're brand specific. Every manufacturer has their own connectors and wiring.
