1986 Force 50

I have a 1986 Force 50hp and it has been a great little motor up until now. I notice it runs fine for 20 or so minutes then it starts coughing with no power. It's cooling fine, fuel filter is changed, plugs are changed, gas is new with right mixture, fuel line is tight etc. I am guessing I should rebuild the carb? I am almost at a loss..thanks!

If it was the carb, it would be giving you trouble from the start, not 20 minutes later. Carb rebuild is not a bad idea though, as it could probably use it.<br /><br />Sounds more like intermittant spark, after the coils get hot.<br />Check for spark when it is giving you the trouble.<br />Have the coils tested.
