I have a 1986 Johnson 90hp that i picked up a few years back that required a little TLC to get up and running. But she has run wonderful the last two seasons.
Last season while on the water my motor stopped running on two of four cylinders (no spark). The problem ended up being one of the power packs, so I changed out the power pack and I have spark on 4 cylinders again.
I can start motor right up on two cylinders but the other two won't fire! The two cylinders that don't fire have spark and fuel but won't fire. Seems like the third wants to fire by popping every once and a while.
I have switched up power packs and have the same outcome. Carbs are clean and seated well for sure.
Is it possible that there could be something off about my timing? could I have threw off timing by initially switching up coils to test? thanks in advance
