1986 Mariner 30HP 30EL - Problems!

The motor starts great when I get to the lake in the morning. However, after about 30 minutes of motoring around the motor dies. I can restart it a couple times and it will run for a minute or two then die. After about the third or fourth start it will not start again until the motor has sat for a while (about 20-30 minutes). <br /><br />Any suggestions?<br /><br />thanks for the help!!!!

Hi, Shoes.<br /><br />Check your fuel tank cap for restriction in the vent. Sounds like your engine is sucking a vacuum in there until it can't get any more.<br /><br />Good luck.

After about 3 months of troubleshooting my engine, we found that a piece of a previous "water wheel" - The device that helps the water push up to the engine block to cool the engine. Was clogged, after fixing that it runs like a champ.
