As I throttle up in gear, engine pulls ok to a point and then motor starts revving like it's out of gear. Throttle back and it is still in gear and pulls until I throttle up some and then it feels like it's slipping. Any ideas? Thanks guys, the hub is spun. Any one know if I can get a new hub and press it in myself? It's a stainless prop, marked 18 pitch, but no brand or manufacturer name.

Your right, sounds like the prop is slipping. To check this remove the prop ,get a punch and mark the inside spline part of the prop and them put a mark ont the allum.side of the prop . Take it for a run and see if the marks don't line up anymore.

Haynan,
Sounds like you have a spun prop or loose prop.Check the nut and lock ring on the prop shaft.Check the condition of the prop also....

Haynan
That was amazing! You answered your own question and found the proper solution too. Wish I could do that all the time. Good Luck, :)
