Hope someone here has advice I currently have a 1986 dixie bandit it is a great boat just a little small for the lake i live on and I am going to sell it and get something bigger. I have not put it in the water yet this year. I went to start it and it ran horrible
backfiring thru the carb. I put in new points cap rotor wires condensor and it started but after a couple mins it died and the plugs were carbon fouled

I think it might be time for a coil any thoughts
and how much are coils these days

thanks in advance

Sure you didnt cross a wire...1-3-4-2. Could be a lean fuel problem.
