I purchased a 1986 Sea Ray SRV230 Cuddy about a month ago. There were strong smells of gas so I knew I was getting into a bit of a project. I was hopeful it was just going to be replacing the tank but as I dug I uncovered a whole bunch of fun!

Here's where I started:

Gas tank finally out after cutting some of the deck, I think its seen better days! Lot of water underneath who knows how long it's been sitting there:

Spent the rest of the day cutting and tearing up the raised deck:

Started digging into the stringers and bad news -- seems to be rotten the entire length all the way up to the stairs down into the cuddy. I'm sure it probably goes further into the bow as well, was hoping I wouldn't have to tear apart the cuddy area...

Stringers just before the stairs:

Will I be able to reuse these cubbies or will I need to rebuild them when I tear them out?

Going to start tackling the lower deck next after I take measurements and some more pictures.

I doubt you can get those out intact enough to reuse them but pieces like that I'd try and cut out as intact as possible and save them so when you get ready to rebuild them you can use them as a template.

Some of the larger components can be saved larger like the vertical side components. I re-used 2 of my fishwells and baitwell. In progress now.
Cut them out clean and when you get back into the actual structure you will determine at that point if they have any value. If the wood is comprimised on those components be prepared to remove and add ply back.

The OP's last visit was on August 7th, more than 6 months ago. He must have lost interest.
