1986 xp150 fuel pump

I have an 1986 xp150. It has had vro oil delete. Fuel pump still in place. Now that side is messing up. I am thinkin of going to a normal pump without vro. I see where you can buy them that way. I also have a 1979 parts motor. It has 2 fuel pumps. My question is can I just put those on the 1986 xp150 and run vacuum like it was on the 1979. Fuel hoses also. The pump that you can buy looks to be done that way.

Your 86 is only plumbed for one pulse hose barb. Your block was drilled to accept a second one-then plugged. You will need to unscrew a factory plug and add a second hose barb for the pulse line for the second pump. Should wind up looking just like a 1983 V6 fuel system.

Thank you for the response. That's what I was thinking. I cheaper than buying the aftermarket.
