I have a 1987 125 force and I am wanting to get the stutter out of my motor, I was told by a guy do use a dual carb intake meter. Can anybody give me any insight on this?

Stutter? if you mean roughness, start with the Basics, Compression Test, Can the spark jump a 7/16" gap? Mixture Adjustment, and Carbs Clean, and floats set right

I really don't see any advantage of trying to use a Balance Gauge on these engines. Likely was trying to Buffalo you, into thinking he was an Expert

As jimmbo says, check for good spark and compression then cleaning the carbs.
Check the fuel pump diaphragm, set the float level and adjust the air/fuel mixture screw.

Starting fluid test: get running, spray starting fluid around the intake side and under the packs/coils.
If the spray makes any difference in the way it runs? then it's sucking air somewhere???
The 125 has 4 port covers and they are famous for blowing those gaskets, one backfire can blow the gaskets.
