Long time lurker, first-time poster

I'm trying to diagnose a leak on my outboard. After running for a while, the engine died and now refuses to start. After some inspection, I noticed a black liquid coming from what seems to be a barb broken off and embedded in a hose.

Could someone please provide more information for me on this leak? As of now, I can't get a good look into the hole to see any remnants, but I'm assuming there is some piece stuck. What would be the proper fix to this?

Thank you in advance.

I've uploaded some photos but had to condense them. They will be higher quality at the link below if needed

thank you, that makes sense. Do you know if this nipple is pressed into the engine? At this point, I'm assuming I would have to try and drill it out

?----Clean the brass piece with lacquer thinner.----Clean the hole with lacquer thinner.------Put a drop of Loctite " bearing retainer " on the brass piece.----Push the brass piece in the hole.----Done.
