i have no spark-no power being delivered to coils, grounding signal is there. circut breaker was triped and i reset and has not triped yet but still no spark. i took off flywheel and found no visual signs of problems, what are the specs for coils, stator, trigger? can you tell me what the wire colors are and what to measure? the coils are not recieving any power, grounds for coil are good, good tach signal and 2 other grounding signals being sent to coils but no power, how to the coils recieve power?

1. the coils receive power from the CDI packs. o ne cdi packs power two coils, one half of a cdi pack can fail.
2. the specs for coils, CDI packs, trigger, stator, rectifier all ignition parts can be found at either www cdielectronics.com or www outboardignition.com
3. If your grounded out somewhere, or a ground wire is lose ,broken, no very expensive ignition part will fix anything.
4. Check every inch of wire, pull every wire very hard that goes into a connector.
5. You need a factory force service manual if your going to work on your motor.

Disconnect the white leads at the regulator.
See if you have spark?
Unhook the tach and see if you have spark.
Test the kill switch.
To test the stator and trigger you'll need an analog meter. Digital doesn't work.
To test the rest you'll need a peak reading volt meter.

Test light? Test the breaker for power.
Look under the dash for a fuse panel, check the fuses.

What if you start at the beginning, Load test the battery, do you have power to the starter relay, test starter relay/solenoid, do you have power to the starter, test starter, do you have power in and out of the circuit breaker, power to the rectifier, When you turn the key, will the starter turn the flywheel?
How far does the power go before it stops?

When you turn the key doe's the starter turn the flywheel hard enough to start the motor?
It's a wire that's grounded out,or battery cable.that's loose ,never use wing nuts for battery's cables, always use nylon lock nuts that won't come loose.
