Hello,
I am going to pick up 1987 60 hp with power tilt that has one bad piston (3 cylinders). I want to move the power head of my 1984 70 hp Johnson (non power tilt) to it. The block looks like the same. Please advice if any issues I may have.
Curious to know if the block the same what make 10 hp different?

One motor is rated at the powerhead and one is rated at the prop !

So both of the powerheads are the same design or share most of common parts.
How about the carb? Could It be the same carb?

So I think I should rebuild 60 hp power head and replace 70 hp on the boat. Do I expect to lose the speed?

The powerheads are the same HP !!-----One is rated 60 HP at the prop.-----Well it might be 62 .5 but they have to pick a nice number for marketing.
