Ok. I am at my wits end with this thing. I have changed the trigger, power packs, cleaned the carbs, new lower unit, new prop shaft, new prop and new shift cylinder. Here is my issue. I start her up and she idles fine. I can rev it up in idle and it is fine I put it into gear and it starts moving. I give it a minute or so and start to give it more throttle and it will back fire or kick however you want to look at it. What in the world is going on here? Can anyone help?

Backfires are mainly caused by improper timing, lean fuel air mixture settings or broken reeds. You will need to post more symptoms to identify the cause of the problem. Now when it backfires, does it die? If it dies, does it start immediately without any additional effort? What additional effort if any to get it re-started?

Sucking air somewhere??
The transfer port cover, one backfire can blow these gaskets.
Carb gaskets?

Get a can of starting fluid, start motor, spray the SF around the base of the motor, around the intake and anywhere you can.
If the motor runs any different? then it's sucking air there.

Backfire under load, the reeds, the carb dirty( apiece of dirt the size of a grain of sand(or smaller) can cause this.

Do a static time?

The carbs in sinc?
